JELV FRC NEW FACES
The FRC has a new director this Fall. Debbie Cumbie, former Assistant Director of the FRC has transitioned to Director of the FRC. The new Assistant Director is Kendra Cox, recent Asbury MSW graduate. The intern for the FRC this year is Brittainy Martinez, current Asbury MSW student. Debbie, Kendra, and Brittainy are very excited about the JELV FRC and helping families in any way they can this year.
Change of Clothing Needed
All children attending JELV need to have a change of clothing at the school for when accidents occur. Please include a top, pants/shorts, underwear, and socks.
Would you like to volunteer? Volunteers are needed at the Village in many different areas including classroom support, assisting children in the cafeteria, filing books in the Library, picture days and more. If you are interested in volunteering, please follow these steps:
1. Contact your child’s teacher first and set up a day and time to start volunteering.
2. The very first time you come to volunteer, go to the Family Resource Center first in order to complete a background check and a 10 minute training on expectations and confidentiality.
Call the Family Resource Center at 887-0567 with any questions.
There are some exciting changes coming soon regarding GED classes and preparation. If you are interested in getting your GED, please call the FRC for more information.
